Just got back from Braselton Ga at the British Car Show. BTW, saw and met
Dennis Gage (the guy with the mustache) from the Hemmings show. Look for us
sometime next year on "My Classic Car."
Anyway, several Spit owners that had converted to Weber also added a
Purlolator fuel pressure regulator in line in the gas line. They said that
it help with the Weber response.
Anybody else done this?

Hello Tim.
Yup, it is very likely that you will have the dreaded oil out the dipstick
problem. The air filter just doesn't have any vacuum to do the job. Run the
hose
to the intake manifold.
BTW, do a quick check on the primary idle jet. If it has a 50 stamped on it,
and
you are having problems trying to get it to idle nicely, then switch to a
60.
This worked for me.
