I'm not sure who would say that. Personally, I can't
really agree with any statements which makes
flux-core seem like a better option.
It really is the poor cousin to MIG welding when it comes
to bodywork, or anything for that matter.
(sorry, I couldn't muster any diplomacy)
With gas, the welds are easier to control, can be
done with less heat, and most importantly, don't have
to be cleaned endlessly when you are done before you
can paint.
