I've found that the zippered window is handy on those hot days of summer when 
there is a light mist or such in the air.  Also, if I'm going to the office & 
it is supposed to rain that day, I can still get a nice airflow going with 
the window down, & not have to worry about putting the top back up when I 
arrive (I tend to arrive right in the nick of time!).
