Subject: Using a Spitfire frame on a GT6: Need help for Rotoflex mounts!
Date: Tue, 13 Mar 2001 14:29:39 -0600
Hi everyone!
I'm doing my GT6 restoration right now and half of the rear frame is rusted
away so I'm not sure I can get accurate measurements here.
I'm using a Spitfire frame to restore my '72 MkIII with rotoflex suspension.
I need to know the exact places to weld the new brackets on, and what else
I'll need. I don't have a VB catalog on me, but the lower wishbone mounts or
whatever they're called for the rear suspension are the brackets I
purchased. They seem the same as the corroded ones on the old rustbucket,
and it doesn't look like it uses anything else.
So, again, the real question is: Where, precisely, do I weld on the new
suspension brackets at the rear end of the frame?
TIA everyone!
