There is no such thing as a plumbing thread. There are different threadings
used for pipe, conduit, etc.
The oem air rail is fitted with industry standard conduit connectors and
fittings. Other pieces of equipment are threaded similarly, there is always an
overlap.
None the less, if one wants the pretty brass pieces used on many engines to
block those fittings, off the shelf brass conduit plugs are a correct fit. As
well evidenced by the thousands of engines thusly fitted.

I bought a box of allen head set screws last year to plug the holes in my
head. I have plenty left over. I sell them for a dollar ea. The threads
for the air rail fittings are not the same as plumbing fittings. A fine
thread bolt will fit, but usually the head interferes and they are difficult
to tighten. If anybody wants some of these let me know.
