The only problem I see with using "AL" would be it causing rattles and
resonance's for all the noises our cars make. Masonite or similar would seem
to be a better bet from a sound reducing basis. I have thought about using
one of the above materials but giving it several good soaking coats of
varnish or shelac after all the holes were in it, that way it would be more
resistant to moisture.
