I had a similar situation in my Spitfire and it turned out to be a worn wheel bearing. It has also been mentioned that the a worn axle shaft would permit movement on the inner race. Larry Ternowski Surrey BC bob wrote Friends: My 75 TR6 has a bit of play in the rear left wheel. With the car on stands and the wheel held at 9 and 3 and 12 and 6 there's a bit of play whereas the right wheel has none. I have not disassembled anything yet. All bushings, springs, rear end and many related parts are less than a year old. Any adjustments possible to the bearing? Thanks in advance |
