I used an 1/2" bearing flush trim bit, but instead of using the bearing
that comes with the 1/2" bit I used a bearing from an 3/8" trim bit.
Just set your router to the correct depth and run the 1/2" bit with the
3/8" bearing and you'll get an 1/8" recess. You can also use the trim
bit to make a copies from the original dash, just place the original on
the bottom with some double sided tape to keep the peices together.
