for the second time, it three years, i have managed to
meltdown my starter "hot wire post"...the starter won't function,
the post itslef is all loose, the starter got hot and "smoked
for a bit"....then died...is it just burnning up from starting
again and again?...what is the max number of seconds
to "run the starter"?...are these starters defective...or am
i just over using them?...i was running the starter hard,
as i was trying to start the spit in the co cold...i think i
had flooded it, or i am having some carb / flaot level problems...
anyway..i had been running the starter for say, 10 seconds at
a time...anyone else have an opinion on this??
thanx..
