Oh Wise and Knowledgable Listers: The new rubber glass seal for my backlight is coated in some type of waxy, gummy yet flaky light brown coating. I suspect is is the rubber industry's version of cosmoline. Does anyone have an effortless, effective method of cleaning this stuff out of all the grooves, slots, lips and flanges that make up a window seal?
