Spitlisters,
Well, just got back from looking at the '71 Spit. Engine, trans, o/d seem
ok. Brakes - ok, steering - a little loose, suspension - shot, interior -
shot, body - minimal rust, a few dents, paint - shot, top - shot, tires -
shot.
Now, I have a spare set of tires, and you normally don't need a top in San
Diego. (Today, a top was needed, it just poured) So, I figure about $800-900
for a new interior, $500-600 for the suspension & steering, and $1000-1500
for body work & paint (probably more)
Ok, about $2500-3000 in addition to the purchase price. I offered $1500, she
said she would let me know by the end of the week. There are two '73's also
for sale if this falls through, I must be crazy !! :)
