Any death is one too many, but to put the problem into

on the highway, and so far 46 deaths have been listed as "possibly
involved"
over 10 years, or 4.6 deaths per year.
Instead of all this hoopla over a POSSIBLE tire problem that MAY
have cost 4.6 lives per year, just getting a few more people to
buckle up would be orders of magnitude more effective in saving
lives.
I don't really want to say anything too opinionated here, but
at least read the article and consider the relative risk and
the relative scale of the damages involved.
