Jeff,
I did replace JUST the float, which to my knowledge is not available from
the usual suppliers. However, there is a Lotus guy ( Ray Psulkowski / DBA
R.D. Enterprises) outside of Philadelphia who sells the floats for $8.00
plus $4.00 shipping. Though I only know him from a couple of email
exchanges, he seems extra courteous and efficient; I had my float within 2
or 3 days. His email is rdent@rdent.com; they have a web page also which I
can't seem to find at the moment (it's late [or early?] on the Right Coast &
my brain is fogging over).
Mine was for a 78 1500 - about the size of a 35mm film canister, but more
barrel-shaped. However, I'm not sure if your model uses the same style
float.
