John, the problem is my wipers wipe down first not up. For example. If my
wipers were in the correct starting position they would wipe the hood of the
car, and then return to the parked position. Could it be that I have the
box (the one the wiper arm actually attaches to under the dash) reversed?

Patrick,
There is NOTHING in the motor to reposition if you have
the 2 speed motor. Is you wiper motor housing round?
The park switch position is determined by the bump on the
bottom of the wheel. This then presses on a microswitch
that is on the underside of the wiper motor.
So to reposition your wipers, turn them on, then off, so
they park. Now remove the wiper arms and reposition them
to where you want them when parked.
