Graham, very true, it like having both a close ratio 5 speed and the overdrive 
5 speed combined in one. Just some purists think that a close ratio 's highest 
should not go beyond the 1:1. Plus switching O/D in and out (at least on my 
box) is pretty fast. 

So O/D on 2nd on a modified Sprint? If only over here!

With O/d on third and fourth giving you a good third and a half gear ratio
as well as fourth O/D for touring / highway use, Why fit a non standard box
when Laura in particular has been offered one for a good price?
