Nick, a major concern here.  If the plug you are talking about is on the
back side of the head on the drivers side corner then that is an oil galley
plug.  Are you sure you have water running through it?  This does not sound
good.  You might want to double check that.

I have asked before about the addition of a second MECHANICAL temp gauge
that would give me a closer reading.

My question today is this:  I found a small hole in the aft of the head on
the left side.  Currently it is plugged with a threaded plug.  I loosened it
today and found that it has water running through it...  Would this be an
acceptable place to install the gauge sender???
