I made up a locking device to keep the bonnet up because the ones I used are not strong enought to hold the wieght of the bonnet. I've seen similar device in the JC Whitney catalouge, which is where I got the idea for it. One of the plate and the top mouting hole on the driver side was bent. This happen because when I had my car in the body shop (I would never go back to these people again) the drone who worked on my car didn't notice the latch to relase the locking device and tried to force the bonnet down.
