In message <045e01bfa0c7$fe02b6b0$dc0515ac@opentext.com>you write: >Hey Dave, since you have dimensions what is the maximum length of the shock? >What is the compressed length? I am sure with 2 shocks it could lift the >bonnet. I know for a fact that my bonnet doesn't weight as much as my >Safari's hatch back and it only uses 2 shocks. Finally got an chance to measure the struts. The extended length is 24", and compressed is 16". However, even with the shocks fully extended the bonnet can still open another inch. I also jacked up the car and remove one wheel to measure the length of the struts with the bonnet closed, that distance is 19". Hope this is of some use to those who wants to give this a try.
