I'm not a gasket engineer, but I can attempt to
describe the requirements:

1) Conformal - should be able to seal even if mounting
surfaces are irregular or less than perfectly flat.
2) Reusable - should not adhere to mounting surfaces,
or be destroyed by tightening.
3) Cost effective - new stock gaskets are around
$4.00.
4) Robust - should not be fragile or easily torn.

So, what fits the bill?

How much is it worth to install it once, and not have
leaks? That's what we are buying, not the gasket
itself.

Comments, suggestions?
