Several years ago, I was working in McDonalds, where they used a pen with
"invisible ink" to check for fake bank notes. The idea is you draw on the note,
using this pen. If it's fake, the pen makes a brown mark, but it doesn't show
up on real notes.
I'm sure you can figure out what happens (or doesn't happen) when the pen runs
out of ink. And I'm sure you can figure out who accepted a fake £20 note
because of this......
Apologies for the off-topic post, but Atwell's comment got me thinking!
Obligatory LBC content: I was driving down the M42 on Sunday, getting annoyed
with all those little rattles and things, when a passing car started hooting at
me, and the occupants waved at me. Suddently, I didn't care about the rattles
and noises any more! Seems like we're getting back to that time of the year
when our cars get noticed! Hurry up summer.....
