Hi Mike, The coolant lines actually heat the inlet manifold in order to help the gas atomize before it hits the combustion chambers. On a 63 this is accomplished by utilizing bolts from the exhaust manifold attached to the inlet manifold creating hot spots. Bill Brockschmidt |
