I have that book.  It is very informative.  I would have thought by 1967,
with Spitfires being Triumph's biggest selling model in the USA, (I believe
that was in the book), it would have been standard.  At least, it appears it
was 'standard' in the USA.  I think someone nailed it when they said it was
"standard, but you could pay for it separately".
