Hi all

I'm fairly new to this list (having just bought my first Spit about two
months ago) so I'm not sure if this subject has been discussed before. I'm
currently looking at installing an alarm in my new baby and of course, also
want to install central locking so I can lock/unlock the doors at the same
time as I alarm the car. Now I'm sure you've all looked in your doors so
you'll understand my predicament. How on earth do you get the central door
locking solenoids between the window glass and the inner skin!? Just when I
think I've found the perfect spot with the window down, I find it won't fit
with the window up.

Has anyone had any similar experiences? As far as I've been able to tell,
all door locking solenoids are about the same size (small for a 'regular'
car :-)). Also, does anyone have any tips on installing an alarm in a Spit.
You know, "by the way, definitely don't do this...". I'm going to add an
optional microwave sensor of course.

Regards

Paul
