DO NOT FORGET
to put that 'steel cable' back!
It's not steel, its plated copper wire, and without
it, the full cranking amperage of your starter will
likely pass through the slave cylinder/pipe/Clutch
master cyclinder (and/or the speedometer cable, tach
cable, choke cable, etc. ) every time you start the
car.
This will cause some very ungood things to happen
eventually.
