I would think that a title would be one of those things that an owner would
be required to disclose.  kind of like the presence of an engine.  I am not
a lawyer but I would bet that any small claims court would see it the same.
Buying something at a distance is always a problem.  I found this in trying
to sell my TR-4 this fall.  Potential buyers come from a wide variety of
backgrounds.  This car is restorable, however I had quite a few people that
don't know what restorable means.  They think new interior when I mean new
floors.  I did try to be as honest and up front about the condition as I
could be.  Cars are always tough, I can't imagine buying without seeing the
car first.
