Doug,
It is a generally accepted act that Spitfire Delco Distributors "Eat"
points. In an effort to make the engine more reliable and trouble free,
an electronic ignition upgrade is probably "the way to go". I agree
that an electronic ignition won't make a worn out engine run much
better, but it will make a good engine much more reliable.
