Ed, I am not an expert on the air rails and emissions but I do know only a relative few of the air rails blew into the head itself, I think most blew into the exhaust manifold or something else. I had a California engine in a '76 (might not of been original engine) that did have the air ports going into the head, but on two different Federal '79s that I know were original engines did not have them. Don't know where the air hooked up to, but I do know there was another place for it to go. Patrick |
