One thing to look out for before you order is that the GT6 Mk 3 heater
valve is different from the GT6 Mk 2/+ and 1 heater valve. Many parts
suppliers only offer one part number, but the two models actually operate
differently.
The early GT6 heater slider on the dash had Hot and Cold reversed to the
configuration in the Spitfire Mk 4/1500. For "commonality" purposes, this
was changed to the Spit configuration on the GT6 Mk 3, which resulted in a
different heater valve on the manifold. (so much for commonality!!!)
So, just make sure that you get a GT6 Mk 3 heater valve and not an earlier
one, or your slider will operate backwards.
(of course, unless you have the plastic housing from a GT6 Mk 2/+ in your
dash, in which case you want a Mk 2/+ heater valve...)
