I seem to remember a thread about this recently, where it was stated that
the manufacture date and the titled date differ due to the dealers' titling
date (i.e.the date it was sold vs. the date it was rolled out of the
factory). I believe Joe Curry knows the inside line on this, but he may be
in Portland right now too.
