Not that I need them, but a friend here at work and myself were discussing
the operation of cat's because he wondered if his really needed replacement
(it did) and in the process we found a site
(http://www.discountconverter.com/) that sells brand new, original fit,
converters at really decent prices. Just for giggles I looked up the
Spitfire catalytic converter that "VB" sells for over $320 and it is listed
at $120. The picture shows an exact looking replacement piece, not
something that appeared was fabricated to fit in the same space. They have
other models of TR and other makes listed as well. I'm not sure about the
Spitfire availability, but they are listed. Might be just the ticket for
replacing that *costly* converter!
