Don,
This is very interesting. Since the 1500 shares an identical bell
housing with both the 1147 and 1296 engines, you can deduce that the
transmission adapter would also fit those engines as well.
Perhaps they are developing the thing using a 1500 as the target for the
prototype.
So If my thinking is correct, when it is available it should be usable
for any of the Spitfire (and Herald) engines.
