Hi I would just like to point out that Austin Allegro's are great. Just
went to the scrap yard today and found that allegros have exatly the same
indecator and wiper stalks, down to the indecators being on the right. Only
difference was the connectors which need swapping arround so the colours
match.

I then got the wiper motor from the Allegro although the wheel inside is a
130 degree one not a 100 deg as on the Spitfire. Anyway by just swapping
that I had an almost new wiper motor.

I also noticed that the Allegro 1100 I was gutting has metal radiator quite
sizable, now I expect the 1500 and 1750 would have radiators more than
capable of cooling the Spitfire lump. Intake and Outlet are on the correct
sides, but it's not that tall. It has a pressureised header tank but that
is connected to the radiator only.

Anyone have any experience of radiator transplant, namly Allegro to Spit.
Or has anyone got a better sugestion for a good swap.

PS. I've balanced my propshaft I now have a couple of lups of lead flashing
attached with two jubile clips on the prop.

James
