Do you really need to disconnect the ball joints (I assume you mean the tie rod 
ends)?
Can't you simply unscrew the tie rod from the tie rod end while the tie rod end 
is still
in place?  You have to remove the tie rod end form the tie rod any to get
the bellows on, right?
