I just took a straight screwdriver and rubber mallet and tapped the rearmost
end off then worked it up from there. Those trim pieces are surprisingly
strong. The rubber mallet works well for reinstallation.

It's held in by little clips that are made of spring steel.
They have little grabbers that hold onto the rib of the fender and they have
the same thing that holds the trim.
I got mine off by using a small pry bar and resting it on a piece of rubber
on the fender.
Take it real easy and a little bit at a time is the rule.

Subject: rear wing trim
I have some rust starting to bubble through on the wing side of the trim
piece at the top trim piece on the rear wing. I'd like to take care of
it before it becomes a problem if it hasn't already. My question is, is
there a trick to removing the trim piece with out ruining. I can't find
any information on how to remove it any of my manuals. i'm assuming you
have to pry/pull it up. Any help anyone has to offer is greatly
appreciated.
