Hi all from the motorcycle world - A couple of years ago a Fram filter
came off a Honda CBR 600 at speed at Willow Springs Race track in
Southern California.  As I recall, Fram ultimately admitted that the
filter had been manufactured incorrectly (small major diameter on the
threads, I believe) and recalled them all.  I also remember a large
lawsuit.  Having said all that, I use Frams on my four wheel vehicles,
but not on my two.
