A question for those of you who have ALL of the answers-- Which
sizes of wheel cylinders went on which Spitfires?? We've changed the wheel
cyls on our race car, but seem to be having trouble with bias. This seems to
indicate that the new cylinders are larger than the old ones, and are
therefore applying the rear brakes later, resulting in front brake bias. I
can't seem to find a definition of which wheel cylinder size was original on
which serial #s, so it's very difficult to know which cylinders are the next
size down. The ones we put in are 7/8" bore, and are correct (supposedly)
for a MKIII.
