OK, I located a 4.11 differential of apparently good quality
manufactured in the same FC 12xxxx series as the one I blew out last
week. Looks good internally and has no play in the bearings and no
metal in the oil.

So I cleaned it up and installed a new pinion seal. Since the damaged
unit I am replacing has good output shafts with nearly new bearings and
seals I want to use those on the replacement differential. When I
installed them though, the internal side gears and little cross shaft
gears feel tight when counter rotating the output shafts. This does not
occur with the shafts original to the unit, nor on the damaged unit with
these shafts. Is this tightness anything to worry about?

Oh Wise Ones, I need advice.
