It actually is a pretty simple job. I took mine off to do it, but I guess
it is possible to do it with it still hanging on the car. The oil seal on
the input is a little hard to get out, but a screwdriver and a hammer
should do it. Once you seperate the halves, it stays pretty much together,
it won't self destruct on you. Pulling out the output shafts may be
difficult, it just depends on your diff. Those don't really have a seal, I
just used RTV on the mating surface to seal it up tight. Hope I Helped
