Not to add any fuel to this fire.... Im sure it will be a big one.. ;)

Let me set this up for you

Needless to say, it was on a very straight Texas highway... FM 707 to be
exact. I had just passed the 1000 mile mark on a fresh rebuilt engine, it
was a nice calm day (strange enough), temp at about 72f, 1/2 tank of 94
octane petro with 1/4 bottle of Outlaw on board. I decided I was going to
see just how fast this 74 Spitfire was going to go... and go it did.

Specs:
73 1496cc motor
Crane elec ignition
70,000 volt coil
8mm silicone wires
plug gap at around .040, bosch plat
double valve springs
lightened rockers
matched exhaust and intake ports
polished exhaust ports
monza exhaust
weber DGV
Pretty much stock everything else.

Top end speed..... Well, the gauge only goes to 120. My bud on the bike
with me says he let off at 131... I was in front of him.

I rebuilt my suspension the next weekend..
