I have a CD player in the original location - I had to cut the metal plate
thing that had the traditional 2 holes in it with tinsnips. It is hard to
manipulate CDs in 1st and 3rd - oh well it doesn't seem to bother me. I
bought some 6" round 2-ways and mounted them behind the seats just in front
of the wheel wells. Yes, I had to drill a couple of holes to do that - and
I did away with the warped $80 per-pair wheel-well interior panels and
covered the area with normal black auto carpet. The speakers are nearly
invisible to walk-byers. I also put 2 tweeters on the top of the dash that
are also very inconspicuous. Then, to conquer the 50mph rule, I put a
subwoofer enclosure (and fixed an amp directly on the side of the sub) and
put this in the trunk. It reduces the trunk by about 1/3, but I still can
fit a lot in there.
