I have a '78--(used to have a "77)-and in both I've had Autovox-the one I
have now I got at Best Buy and has a detachable face plate. Fits well and
works great. My speakers are in boxes (and have extra long cords so I can
move them out of the car in case of a picnic or whatever) I'm really happy
with this arrangement. My door panels aren't cut up and I don't have to
worry about vibrations or anything.

As for gauges-they're supposed to show actual gas levels?;-)
