We have new emissions law in California that just went into effect. The
Tr3-being pre-1973 is exempt from emissions testing. And there is the
sliding scale -in fact in the new law, the scale is based in income. It does
cost $300 just to register out of state cars-I know plenty of people who
just keep reregistering their cars in the original state!
The new emissions testing is even stricter-I know someone with a 3 year
Honda-no modifications-who barely passed!
For me-I bought the car that way, I make under x amount of dollars a year so
I can apply for an exemption. Relative poverty does have its rewards!

Santa Maria is really beautiful country-actually , 74 miles north or sofrom
Santa Barbara, it's closer to San Luis Obispo (31 miles). And, if you like
vintage aeroplanes and wineries-you're near both.

Hope that helps!
