I sent this request to the Spitfire list and got no takers on the
response. Anyone care to jump in? Please respond direct or to the
Spitfire list (I dropped the Triumph list).
Thanks
Vic W.

Subject: Dashpot filler?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
I have succumbed to a minor case of shipwrights disease. I was cleaning
up the distributor and removed the dashpot. While cleaning it, brown
granular powder came out of the vacuum opening. Tapping it seemed to
dislodge more of the powder. I'm guessing that this is some kind if
moisture absorption material. Anyone care to jump in on this one and
shed some light?
