I put the 1500 swaybar on my '71 GT6+. I did use the original u-bolts
and the hole spacing on the frame, but ended up bending everything to
get it to fit.
I'd suggest that you get new u-bolts and clamps to fit the sway bar
and to 'ovalize' the frame mountings to get them to fit properly.
Just my $0.25CDN (about $0.12US!)

Hi guys -
A question for those in the know -
I'd like to put the larger sway bar (7/8") on my 1970 Spit. Does any
body know if the later model U-Bolts and bushings will fit on the 1970
chassis? In other words, is the hole spacing on the sway bar mounting
plate the same for all Spits?
TIA
Tom
