I put a set of ceramics on the wife's minivan, and will never use them again
unless she gets larger rotors. Sure, they reduce dust, the reason is... lower
friction. Not to be confused with any "performance" ceramic pads out there,
these were generic pads (PepBoys) that my wife HAD to have, some bozo convinced
her that they were quetier, cleaner, and "better braking" (as if she's EVER
cleaned a wheel in her life). I guess two out of three ain't bad, but when the
van felt like it had good brakes before, now it's a bit scary in sudden stops.
I think there's a term out there for using the word "ceramic" in a product
description: value adder.
