Yes, you can better realize the performance of the tire with the
proper-sized rim.
I have run 225 tires on slicers, but they are not optimal by any means, and
you have to run more tire pressure (IMHO) to get them to work properly on a
track. Plus, they look silly
The sidewalls, in effect, get too soft when the rim is too narrow.
