I have a Windows app called "Video Editor" that was free from the app 
store.  Checking now, it looks to be part of Microsoft Photos. If you 
are on Windows, check you program list for "Photos" and open it.  If you 
are similarly updated, you will see a tab for "Video Editor".

I "clip" videos into segments then delete the undesired segments. Works 
fairly well.  Save format is only mp4 I believe, but that is near 
universal.  You have a choice of save resolutions.

I share stuff too big to e-mail to a Google Docs folder.
