Aluminum has a galvanic potential of -1.67 (according to EngineeringToolbox.com), iron (steel) is -0.44 for a net difference of 1.23. Copper is +0.34, for a net difference of 2.01. The real world doesn't always follow theory, though, so YMMV. -- Randall 56 TR3 TS13571L once and future daily driver 71 Stag LE1473 - awaiting engine rebuild 71-2-3 Stag - awaiting gearbox rebuild _______________________________________________ Shop-talk@autox.team.net Archive: http://www.team.net/pipermail/shop-talk http://autox.team.net/archive |
