Doug,

I just had a massive, in ground failure of water lines last week. I
bought a tool at Lowes (in the plumbing department, near the black poly
pipe) for $17. The clamps were a few dollars for a bag.

They worked flawlessly and I was very happy with it. For the money, it
was a great investment.

I would show you a link to them online, but Lowes webpage has the WORST
search feature I have ever seen.

[Shop-talk] best oem hose clamp pliers?

Hey boys,

Any recommendations for a OEM style hose clamp pliers (or whether it is
even a
good idea)? My Aprilia came with the flat band OEM style hose clamps, and
after
changing the coolant, the shiny screw-style hose clamps I used to put it
back
together look pretty awful.

Anyone with experience installing the flat-band style clamps?

thanks,

doug
