I'm another of those people that have had Sears garage door openers - in my case, two of them for 13 years - with no problems. The Genie that I had before that (in the house when we bought it), had a plastic "belt" instead of a chain that I had to replace twice in six months. When it's board fried, I ripped it out and replaced it with the chain drive Sears, and been happy ever since. Bought the second one for the other garage door at the same time.
